The Goberian is intelligent and friendly and will typically enjoy being around people and will usually be gentle as well as loyal and affectionate.

While at times independent, the Goberian will seek to please his humans whilst remaining alert. This breed excels as watchdogs, barking to let you know of any unusual activity. The hybrid will get along well with children as well as other pets in the household. Early socialisation is important to avoid any behaviour issues and the majority of Goberians are easy to train.

Although the parent breeds of the Goberian enjoy a long and rich history, the Goberian is a fairly new breed and is less than 20 years old.

While it is still quite rare, many Goberian breeders are working to create a breed that has the calm nature and wolf-like markings of the Siberian Husky and the trainability and breathtaking golden colour of the Golden Retriever.
