These guys are known for their extremely friendly and out-going personalities and they absolutely LOVE being around 'hoomans'. They are also highly intelligent doggies if a little bit stubborn, so when training your Chiweenie, make sure to continue using positive reinforcement to keep them happy and entertained. They make extremely loyal companions but can often favour a particular owner (more likely the one that feeds them!), but overall make extremely lovely pets.

These teeny Chiweenie's are a relatively new 'designer breed' and were most probably developed to combine the best traits of the parents' breeds; the Chihuahua and the Dachshund. As they are such a new breed, traits and physical characteristics of these dogs will vary from puppy to puppy, with some looking and acting more like Chihuahua's and some looking and acting more like Dachshunds'. They are not yet recognised by the kennel club, but it's hoped with continued high standards of breeding and breed health, they may one day be able to achieve this.
