These dogs are incredibly charming guys and are extremely affectionate towards ‘hoomans’ as well. They are extremely well-tempered and highly intelligent, making them fantastic dogs to train skills and new tricks! Sproodle's loving ways also make them a great dog to have around kids. However, these guys are very high-energy and need to be placed in a family that already has an active lifestyle. It’s also vital to train these doggies so that they know who’s in charge, especially if you have other dogs! They like to know where they sit in the pack and if they aren’t given a place they will pursue a role as the alpha dog! Overall though, they make fantastic family pets and will provide you with years of entertainment and love.

The Sproodle is a relatively new cross-breed and first appeared in the 1980’s as a response to producing a dog that was highly intelligent with a low shedding coat and is a mix between a Poodle and a Springer Spaniel. They have since become a very popular breed, with their biggest fans being based in the UK. Although not yet recognized by The American Kennel Club, many breed clubs have been set up, with the aim of one day ensuring that they become a registered breed! Because of their inherited characteristics, many of these dogs are now working as therapy dogs.
