Temperament will vary from dog to dog as they are such a new breed however, they are thought to be a highly intelligent breed who are eager to please, which in turn, makes them relatively easy to train and perfect for first time owners! They also love hoomans and are very playful, making them perfect for families with children. Some Pomskys are fairly protective over their families and homes whereas others may be more laid back, but if the protective side does persist, you should seek to continue training them. Overall though, they make lovely family pets who love sleeping in your lap just as much as they love to run around the garden!

Pomskys are a relatively new hybrid designer breed, having only been around for 20 or so years. It's thought that they first appeared in American and Canada, in which both countries now have their own breed clubs! Unfortunately, they are not yet a registered breed, though it is hoped that if a high-standard of breeding is maintained, this may be achieved at some point in the future. The breed is a cross between the Siberian Husky and a Pomeranian and both share the fact that they are Spitz family dogs. They have since become a very popular breed across most of the world due to their cute looks and loving personalities.
