If you prefer chilling with a book at home, your little companion will still be by your side! This is due to their love for humans and their gentle, patient ways. A trait like this also makes them really good with children, providing they are socialized well as puppies. One thing to watch out for with these mischievous guys is that they like to get their own way and can often be quite sneaky about it… You don’t want to find yourself being manipulated by a fur-ball now, do you? You will also need to make sure that you don’t leave them alone for too long as they can suffer from separation anxiety, leading to bad behavior, such as barking or leaving ‘presents’ around the house. Overall though, they are a highly entertaining, loyal and happy dog, who only want to love and be loved back.

They are thought to have been around for close to 2,000 years and were mainly seen in Ducal courts in the Italian region of Bologna, thus their name! It doesn’t shed like other long-coated doggies, such as their cousins the Bichon Frise, which makes them a perfect companion for someone with dog-hair allergies.
